Most smart doors add cameras until the product turns into a surveillance system. We took the opposite route: one low-mounted camera, pointed outward, tuned for the doorstep.
A single wide-angle view answers the only question that matters — who is approaching, and is it your cat? Everything beyond that is a feature you pay for twice: in battery, in privacy, and in alerts you gradually learn to ignore.
Recognition runs on the device. Clips are short, event-based and attached to a trip, so the record reflects arrivals and departures rather than a continuous feed.
